Grounding depthraider/subtroll

I lost my manual for my dr was wondering if you have to strip the cable at the reel of the rigger. (to ground it) or if the antenna is good enough. some gentelman at the marina have a subtroll that needs grounding...

You don't need it for the ST/DR. They were probably running Cannon riggers and I believe you need to ground the wire so the autostop on the rigger would work.
