Anyone know of a spot in the Roc area or points west where I could moor or dock the boat (willing to pay for a day of docking, etc.) and have a family picnic? The ideal place would have a charcoal grill and picnic table, etc.  In the past we've anchored the boat right in the sandy area west of area 5 at Hamlin beach, but park police sometimes say something.

Any help would be appreciated.

Searched "wilson park" and got some lnland parks in Rochester. Did you mean a park in Wilson, NY? How does the docking work?

Town of Newfane Marina in Olcott. They have a pavilion with 6 or 7picnic tables. I think there is still a permanent grill there, but I believe the marina has a portable grill, you just have ask. Dockage is available but space will probably be limited in August. Hope this helps
