I'm headed up to Fairhaven the last week of August to hopefully get into some kings. my rods have 30lbs power pro that I usually tie fluro leaders to for spring browns. Do you think that is good enough for riggers and dipsies or should I change out to heavier line?

Any suggestions for what lure presentations to use would be great too.

Thanks

That's fine as long as fleas aren't an issue. My only suggestion is to use a looser drag than normal or you might straighten hooks with the lack of the mono stretch

Thanks for the reply, I'll probably use 30lbs big game as a leader. Any suggestions for lure combos will spin doctors still be something to use then?

The 30# pp is good, I usually go to 20-25# fluro leaders, like Landshark stated set your drag just that your line doesn't creep out on its own. I have had more luck with paddles and flies. For some reason I have more luck with matching the colors, for instance white paddle with white fly, or green on green. Again this is just what worked for us, definitely not a etched in stone theory. Many others have different theory's when it comes to staging salmon. J plugs in silver and fire tiger also. So good luck and tight lines to you!! PAP.
