Double D 8/14-8/15

Friday went out solo to pre fish for king of the oak event Saturday. I was greeted by 3'ers with an occasional 4' . I left from Sandy and motored west towards Devils Nose set up in 120 and worked 120-140' waters. Morning bite was hot 6 for 6 with 21,24 and 26 lb kings.

Quit early as I had 3 friends coming up from Pa. to fish the KOTO with me.

Saturday morning instead of motoring out off shore I made the call to run east to the nose. Wrong call as big pods of bait and hooks were not there. We picked away till 9am before I pulled up and motored west and out to the 30 line off the oak. My friends experience just about all lake O has to offer,King,brown,laker,steelhead and a most special Atlantic.Just couldn't get into the mature King fishing I had hoped to show them.anyways it was a great day on the water with friends and many laughs were shared.
