Went to visit my parents out in Skaneatles and took my fathers little boat out to do some trolling. We hit the water about 6 am and we're off at 1030. Boat traffic was light, mainly fisher folks, both bass and trollers.

Ran two riggers and two leadcores. Riggers parked at 45 and 60 and the cores out 5 and 10 colors. Didn't take a temp reading as we were marking fish and getting hits right out of the gate.

Trolling 120-200 fow produced 4 lakers and one 25" bow. Bow hit on the 45 rigger and the lakers were mixed between the two. All lakers released well but the bow went to the box after an unsuccessful release attempt. We reeled her in quick, snapped one quick photo and tried to revive but no dice. Maybe because the bows seem to come up quick and fight hard in the warmer water while the lakers were staying deep until the very end? Either way My parents ate well that evening, I unfortunately had to head back east and couldn't partake. post-152928-1441121621301_thumb.jpg

10 color took 2 hits which came unbuttoned, nothing on the 5. Lost another 4 fish between the riggers.

All in all a good morning. Since my move to Albany I miss this lake and of course my fishing buddy. The rainbows, when you can get them, are just gorgeous (and tasty). Maybe I'll try to get out again before he stores his boat and I have to trailer mine!

Tight lines..

Thanks guys!

Forgot to mention the rigger lures, small spoons:

One was hammered silver proeye spoon which I airbrushed to copy a silver streak black fin tuna(can't seem to find this pattern in small sizes). The other which took the bow was a small scorpion style spoon in Christmas tree(green/yellow/red)

Thanks! Wish I could find them like that out here in the capital district. Mainly laker lakes within an hours radius of home. At least the scenery is good!post-152928-14412013761475_thumb.jpg
