Connecting braid to leadcore

How do most of you connect leadcore to braid? Do you use a swievel between the two & what type knot do you use. Thank in advance.

I've always used double uni knots, but after looking at a video of the willis knot I think I will have to give that a try.

The Willis knot works well but I have returned to using a #8 Spro Power swivel betweens them and then putting a small amount of glue on the connections. It isnotquite as smooth going through the eyes as the Willis but I have total faith in the glued knots.and swivel. If the sheathing on the leadcore is not relatively new it is your potential weak spot on the setup with the Willis approach.

I splice in a section of mono to put in my planer board release and Willis knot the lead ore to mono and double I I the braid to mono

Albright knot seems to work fine to me.

I pull up the sheath about 2", cut off the internal lead wire, and then make a loop with the sheath.

I wrap the braid about 10 times around the sheath and pull tight, as per the albright knot.

Have had no issues.

Double Willis knot (two loops) with standard leadcore sheath.  Standard braid knots for Spectra-sheath micro-core.

I use the Double Willis on my cores.  The knot is easy to tie and holds great.

Take small needle after stripping back lead about 3" s thread braid using needle up thru lead core sheath

Pull thru & nail knot . Coat with knot sense nice smooth strong connection
