Just getting back from my DIY Moose hunt with my dad in the Yukon Delta western Alaska. It was an awesome trip that I would recommend to anyone looking for the hunt of a lifetime. I'll get some pictures and details up this week.

Nice job,did you pack it out yourselves?

Thanks guys! Yup meat has to stay on the bone in the area we were in. A hind quarter on your back gives you a work out.

I bet it does. Moose have to be 50" to be legal correct?

Area we were in was an any bull area which was nice didn't need to worry about messing up. Lots of good ones though, but we just shot the one. A day and a half of packing in swamp, bogs, and brush over half a mile one was enough. LOL

Very nice.....I would worry about guesstimating wrong on the 50"

After packing out a moose it makes you think before you shoot another

WTG Sean! I know you have a bunch of fishing memories with your dad but that one hunting will top everything for some time :)
