Trolling for fall steelies and browns

Anybody doing this? Seems the posts dry up after the salmon begin running

Just curious re: the how's and the where's.

I fished out of Sodus last week. Was hoping to get some brown s or steelhead but the water temperature was 46 at the surface and I caught nothing. Didn't want to go 8 miles out in the lake looking for warm water. Hoping that the water along the shore is warmer on Sunday.

2 weeks ago i did some browns late morning fishing 30fow...near bottom. 4 fish in about 2 hours. Not hot and heavy...bit browns were there.
