I have a 23 and a half foot Eagle crestliner.I had to buy special copper free paint.I only have 1/5 of the boat sanded and painted.with this paint you have to wait four hours between coats. Does anyone know of an easier way to sand and paint this? Thanks guys.😠😥 copper free paint because it is aluminium.

Instead of sanding  you can blast the paint off with soda.Al least here in Rochester there are sevral companies that sand blast and soda blast.

At the place I used to work (before retiring) we did a lot of soda blasting.  Basically, just dry baking soda powder that got shot out under pressure.  Very effective for paint & gunk removal without damaging the base metal.  It does get slightly alkaline when wet so you have to be careful that you don't corrode any material.

Where did you get the paint? Is it recommended for aluminum? I sold my aluminum boat to a friend last year and he told me he can not get the bottom paint for aluminum boats this year because NY outlawed it. I remember seeing on the label of the paint for fiberglass not to use it on aluminum. Just wondering if what you got is the answer to his problem. Thanks
