Did rapala strengthen the scatter rap or is still prone to destruction with big fish?

no change if you want a strong bait check out the bay rat lures line lot of guys and charter captians using them with great results

X2 on the Bay Rats. Best stick baits going now. Very durable.

The tail dancers and deep tail dancers are without a doubt the lures I troll the most hands down, but they aren't nearly as rugged as most others. Any balsa bait isn't gonna be durable like the bay rats. I had 11 rapala's snapped between the hooks this year. Rapala's are basically 1 fish per bait on big fish. I have a whole box of broken rapala's I save for replacement hooks. That being said they work better than anything I've tried too....can't wait to try another way over priced new rapala's.

I send my broken raps back every year and they replace them
