SLR perch

With the nice weather I decided to put the boat in and try the perch. Kept 20 nice ones in Chippewa Bay in a few hours using minnows. Had to cull lots of shorts but it seemed like April or May out here and water temp. was over 40 degrees. Some different than last year at this time.

Caught about 30 today (3.4lbs) of fillets on a beautiful morning on the river.

Nice work Kevin. They look as though they camre out of the same "cookie cutter"   No more room in the fridge for more perch here or I would have been out today too (but from shore as the boat is put away)

I make room for perch! Nice catch. another week of deer chasin and I will be out there too.

Love those years I tag out on deer by Thanksgiving so I can perch it.... not this year, but it looks like I'll be able to get the kayak out over Christmas week!!
