That is encouraging Dave although the water temp on Canandaigua last week was 44 degrees. Hope these cold nights will be accompanied by low to no wind and maybe I'll get a chance to try out my new tip ups someplace after all

We have ice in several of the small bays around chaumont area and we have a good snap of cold weather coming for the next 4 days..... Cautiously optimistic!!

How is the bay and surrounding areas looking today? I live on the southern border by corning and our little ponds are icing up nicely. These low overnights might just save our ice season.

My son just phoned from Honeoye and said that it looks completely iced over this morning
