Oneida lake water temp.

Anybody out there still fishing Oneida lake have a current water temp for me? Hoping she's cooling down enough to start freezing soon. Thanks guys.

heard some of the northern bays had skim ice on them this morning

That's a little bit of good news. I have 5 days planned out there from 22-26th.

I had been getting out on the boat until Dec 30.

On the 30th, the water temp was 36.8 degrees.

Today I went to the launch that I had been using - it is in a  sheltered cove. It was ice out to a distance about 100 yards from shore, kind of rough but solid enough for me to stand on it near the ramp.

The open water was steaming - giving off its heat - it won't be long till it ices up hard.
