I don't think I would trust any waterways around Geneva. Maybe check honeoye if you wanna travel a little. Probably the closest to you

It should be starting to freeze up I went out to one of our local lakes and it was half frozen definitely smaller than Seneca but fishable.

Seneca has only completely frozen up about 3 times in recorded history. The last time I remember was about 1977 or so

Last year was looking to be possible Les, but your right 77 was the year of some monster pike off the pier through the ice. Without sub zero temps for a good month I wouldn't walk on a puddle in a parking lot if it's from Seneca lake waters.
