I just bought 2 new mag 10 stx downriggers that have positive ion control and was wondering if the black box would be beneficial to run on them or does the positive ion control do the same thing as far as voltage. Thanks in advance for any advise.

Joe, does the same thing but might screw up your auto stop feature. If it were me unless you got some weird stray current going on, I'd stay with the PIC on the down riggers. Less to monkey around with. If you get to doubting things, throw a ohm meter on when your on the water. Hook up neg to your neg on battery, pos on your cable, should read .5 to .6 volts. Anything less or above .7 you got something going on. Good luck.
