Does anybody have tips on how to prevent/treat cuts and abrasions on the little rabbit hounds. My dogs brisket is tore up and I was wondering how to care for it. I have tried the vests they make, but they get hung up or pulled off in the briars. My dog had a minor skin infection recently and is on an antibiotic to clear that up, but obviously I can't always keep her on that. Any tips or tricks?

Blue Cote works well but it stings like a bastard so break her in slow on that. The bag balm works very well too. It's hard to prevent them from gettin tore up especially if the coat is thin. I put r Kevlar vest on my bird dogs. It's a trade off between getting hung up and protecting them

I keep new skin in my pack. My beagle always cuts the tip of her ear, in the cold it will not stop bleeding. Put some new skin on and she is good to go.
