Hear good things about mendon

A friend who owns a bait store told me that mendon is a good place... Ive heard it before but never actually went there... Hows the ice there? Ill go and figure it out where to go (I know better than to ask), all i want to know is if it is safe and what type of fish there are other than pike

I had a guy come into the shop last week, says he's been fishing the big pond. I know for sure there are pike bass and gills. Not sure of any others.

I'm just trying to find somewhere decently close where I can get pike... Still am yet to get one through the ice

If you want to catch pike near Rochester I'd recommend braddocks bay.

Usually guys get pike along the south side out from the parking area, near the grassy shore. Been a few years since I was there. Maybe a few other places too, but I don't know.

Hopefully this weekend I can get out and give it a shot if the weather is forgiving this week
