I don't trust Albright knots.

I'm glad you said that Joe, because neither do I. I've lost too many leaders and whole coppers because somehow the copper cuts through the mono/flouro. Too many to be a coincidence. I tried a couple variations of the Albright knot thinking that may make a difference and it did not. It's always inline swivels for me going forward.

I know lots of guys that are using swivels succesfully on copper. Not sure why you wouldn't never ever want to use them. I actually use the albright, but am thinking of going to a swivel.

 

TX44's are a bit painful to bring in if you've got a hit. No doubt side planners are nicer to use, but that's if you can fit them on your boat. Having said that, many people including myself use the TX44's and catch fish.
