Smallies on the St. Lawrence

I'll be heading up to Cape Vincent in a month, and was wondering if anyone has any tips on where to fish for some smallies? Any help would be great. I was skunked last year.

Hey i've got a cottage up on the river. Ive found the best bet is the featherbed shole, but you need to be very careful fishing it or you'll lose your boat. Other than that might trying trolling rapalas in 12 to 18 FOW or drifting with with small jigs with a white body tipped with a worm that always works. Hope that helps.

Thanks Mark, I'll give it a shot. Depends on the wind though, would be driftin pretty quick with the traditional W/NW wind.
