Dick's rod and reel repair, new paltz, NY 845-255-5874.

40 years experience. Real good guy. Just fixed a reel for me. Showed me a custom steelhead fly rod he had just completed, real nice work.

Ernie Lantiegne. Not cheap, but excellent work.

Love mine ,   esp the 7' roller dipsie rods work great on kings and are light enough to make the smaller fingerlakes fish fun too.

Check out Jase rods out of Mass. He was originally from NH, has moved his biz. Great rods for both fresh & salt water. He is building me a custom spiral float rod...& more to come. Just Google Jase rods....great stuff!

His son jeff, "miss em" here on the forum, makes them i believe. Ive used them on jeffs boat and they are VERY nice. Id have them if i could afford them!!☺

I would also recommend Jeff. He's done some work for a few of my buddies. I use a guy in Canada, but logistically that might not work for you.

Jeff has built a bunch of rods for me. Brown trout rods. Salmon rods. A dipsey rod and a steelhead rod for the river. I like the 7 foot size he specializes in. Easy to maneuver on the boat and puts a hurting on the fish quickly.

Jeff gets 2 thumbs up from me.

Are you looking to have the few problem guides replaced or new rods built to suit your needs? I can generally replace guides between builds, but I've got a bit of a backlog on rod builds as this is the busy season for custom work for me.
