Seems if everyone got tired of catching nothing... that these smaller lakes would be worth fishing... surprised no info or even views. Guess I'll have to give it a shot

I've never fished Cayuta (little lake) but I heard that the perch have good and poor cycles there.... this year is a good cycle. My step son told me a guy he works with showed him pics from the ice.... that's all I know.

I'm only 10 minutes from Cayuta and I gave up on it years ago. I've tried ice fishing and spring fishing with little luck. I wasn't as good an angler back then so maybe it was part me, but eh it's small and weedy and gets a lot of snowmobile traffic in the winter. A lot more fun places to fish in my opinion.

I fished Dryden once this year through the ice and it was terribly slow compared to the year before

Thanks for the info. Probably is better places, last year I really for back into fishing so I'm trying to broaden the types, areas, and techniques. Right now I'm focusing on Perch and Gills. Is there ice on Cayuta still? Maybe I'll just wait till Monday and go down when it a 60° with the canoe.
