Great news here (link below)... Love to see as many as can spawn and make it back before April 1st... Looks like we need another lampricide tho.. Two weeks ago we caught 10 landlocks 8 out of the 10 had juvenile lampreys attached and some multiple that was not good to see... Chopped up all the lampreys and returned all the fish to the lake to be caught another day.

I was just telling a guy this morning that it will be good for the fish this year and not so good for the stream fisherman.  After the last two seasons, I think it is good.  Sucks about the lampreys.

Yes, it's a good thing to see the rainbows going early - hoping to have a few more jumping behind the boat this year than last!

Good they're seeing the rainbows returning and hopefully they will be able to spawn before April 1st and some get back out to the lake but that is not good news about the lamprey numbers especially that they appear to be juveniles out in the lake....that probably means a lot more years of activity.

Brad Hammers said that a "significant" number of clipped (stocked) rainbows were sampled.

And hopefully the redds won't get trampled this year
