Seeing lots of great looking brown trout being caught and showing up in my facebook feed - unfortunately from the pictures being posted looks like almost zero compliance with NY's cold water PFD law.  I know it's not the most popular law - but surprised at how little compliance I see.   Just making a statement - not trying to start a pi$$ing match or anything - just an observation.

There was a death in Massachusetts over the weekend. Crazy too hit the water and not be wearing a PFD this time of the year. When something happens it happens fast.

Just having on a life jacket will only give you a short period of survival time to get out of the water before your body starts shutting down from high 30's to low 40 degree water! Be smart and buy a Mustang Survival Suit,just might give you that extra time to come out alive!

I wear one wading in the rivers too.  Saturday was misleading.  It was so nice out yet there was still white ice in some places.
