hi All,

I wanted to know what others are using to repel water from a boat cover.

the cover on my boat is made out of a canvas type material.

I was thinking of some sort of scotchguard type spray, but that might get a bit costly.

I've only seen spraycans of scotchguard, and to get the coverage I 'm going to need its gonna get expensive fast.

any advice on how to do it?

The first time I went to a shop that made covers and got the stuff they used.............Ouch $$$$$...............now I use the stuff at Wal-Mart in the camping section for my tent and boat cover.................it seamed to do a good job so far and the price is not bad..............

I got some scotchguard outdoor fabric and gear watershield from home depot.

$10/can , I'll tell you guys how well it works when I try it.

from what it says on the can , it sounds like it'll do the job.
