Scotty downrigger locks

Has anyone used the 3134 scotty downrigger locks. Before I invest in them, curious if they work or are just a pain with needing 3 padlocks. thanks

I started using them last year. They will prevent theft by someone who is unprepared but I think they could be defeated with a run of the mill hammer. It looks like if someone were to take a good swing at the plastic knobs on the Scotty mounting bolts it would be all over, Unless of course those mounting bolt knobs are steel underneath the plastic.
