Testing chip in laptop

Can I put my navianics chip in my laptop and view it. I want to see if the chip is bad or if the card reader went in my old graph.

I think you have to download Navplanner. I Tried it 5 or 6 years ago. It didn't work correctly with Windows for some reason.

Yes you can unless it's too old and not supported any more. You have to go to Navionics website and get the Downloader and pick your gps unit from the list.

Easiest way is to view it on another chartplotter and to verify by trying a friends card on your chartplotter.
