We had a great turnout for the first of our two spring tournaments today!  Weather was really tough but we had 11 teams tough it out all day long with shifting winds, rain, sleet, and even a little snow at the end.  They were all happy to get in and warm up, snack on pizza and wings, and tell some stories.  Highest weight for 5 fish was a whopping 6.39 pounds.  Biggest perch was 1.87 pounds.  Second, third and fourth place dropped off to 4.99#, 4.29#, and 4.25#.  It'll be a real challenge to top that 1st place total, but we'll see what happens at our next tournament on April 30th.  The weather has GOT to be better!!

I think you would have gottin 10 or15 more boats if you had better weather.

High five to those that had the brass to sit out there in those conditions,my old bones don't take that very well any more.

Congratulations  to the winners   .

 See you the 30th.

I hope to be able to make the next tourney (if I'm not pullin copper).

A bit off topic, but we need a larger ECO presence at the north end to prevent guys from making 2nd & yes even 3 trips out in the same day and limiting out each time. I'm not trying to be a nark, but that kind of greed is unnecessary.

Congrats to the winners. I just waited for the last minute for the weather but just getting a little too young for the cold!

Next contest should be a little more interesting. Post spawn and very few shallow water fish.
