Does anyone have any experience with inline planer boards such as the Luhr Jensen side planer or the SideWinder?  I would like to use one for trolling 2 lines out of my kayak and think it will help with keeping the lines from crossing but I heard one review stating the sidewinder trips too easily but I like the streamlined shape and simplicity of its design?  Any info on these would be very helpful.

Yep that's the one I was referring to and they still make them!  I wasn't sure how they would stand up to waves since I fish a lot of big water.  Might be fun to try salmon and steelhead fishing the rivers with it as well.

Try the redi rig stealth planers in the small size. I use them trolling in my kayak for the same purpose, keeps line spread out so I don't have to worry about crossing up. The small size will work fine with even medium-deeper diving plugs but not too sure about weighted setups.

Off shore tackle make good ones, and different sizes as well . I use the yellow ones with the tattle tale flag for trolling walleye in boat . They have weight adjustments for different speed and lure presentation
