Fish Hawk 4x - Reliability

I've been interested in buying some sort of Down temp and speed device and I think this is the year. I see that the Fishhawk x4 is one of the most popular ones out there. I'm curious as to how these units really stand up out there on Lake O, who would know best but the people who use them. I see there is only a one year warranty, that's not much. Is there other brands out just as good? I do want a cable free unit.

Ran mine for a year and a half. No problems..and I'm not the best at taking care of my stuff.

Going on 4 years with mine. No issues other than a cracked probe which was my own fault but they replaced free of charge.

Mine has been giving great service for 5 years now. Just make sure to use dedicated wiring to the battery to prevent interference.

Only thing I've used, no matter how much I try to be nice to my stuff....I'm not and it has lasted me.

Have been running the same unit since it came out in (2009 I think). You can't go wrong here!
