I've been looking for the something for my kayak.  I have been looking at the Hook series from Lowrance.

I've had good luck with Garmins echo series fish finders..... but it looks like they've got a new series out.....

I am done with lowrance,   just got me a raymarine a98 touch, chirp, cant wait to try,  best prices I found were at Anchor express.com.

Garmin echo. Love mine on my yak, even have one on my boat at the stern. Great picture. Easy to see
