Trimming it up

Sorry guys but I have another one to ask you. If I trim my lower unit up does that help slow the speed? I also have the old 17 pitch prop. Should I change back to the 17 from the 19? This is all new to

It will change the speed. What kind of motor? Changing the pitch from 19 to 17 won't make that much of a difference.

It is a mercruiser 130hp I/o.

being an i/o i doubt trimming will make that much difference in speed but turning/staying straight will really suck.

What are best options then? Drifting or casting? What else. Gonna give buckets or socks a shot

Socks will work I run 2 on my boat when I need to slow way down. Buckets will work too, run 1 off each side.

How far back do you run them? My boat is a 20 foot cuddy.

I run them about mid ship maybe a touch closer to the bow. It helps keep the bow down in rough seas. In my signature you can see the the orange buoy on the tow line.
