Saturday  woke up early to get some last minute things done on the boat and i was on the water by noon.  I went on a solo mission saturday which was a mistake once i saw the 2 ft whitecaps on the lake.  Its next to impossible to fish in my tin can solo in anything more than a light chop.  I went anyway with a plan of running 2 riggers only. Hit the lake went west got both of my riggers and when i took a shot on the 3 ft rigger but was gone by the time i got to it.  That would be the only shot i would take but i only fought the waves for about an hour and a half and i was done.  The worst part of the day was that i left my ff and my depth raider at home so i was fishing totally blind.

Sunday  Sheila and I got to the launch at 7 am and headed west out of the chute looking for some good colored water.  We found descent color in 20 to 25 ft of water about a mile west of the creek.  We worked that hard for about an hour and a half with only a small laker to show for it.  Seeing Sheila getting bored we pointed her north to lake trout land.  Dropped and echip paddle with a minion fly to the bottom and quickly caught a few lakers between 10 and 15 lbs.  after a while of constant reeling fish in we pulled lines and headed to the dock.  Was a great day to be on the water no matter how bad the fishing was.
