I have a set of fixed triple trees I am in the process of mounting.  My question for those of you that have fixed trees is this:

Did you mount them perpendicular to the side of the boat or did you angle them forward slightly?  I am leaning toward angling them forward slightly even though they don't look as nice that way.  Thoughts??

Thanks,

DJ

The most important thing is clearance I don't know if you trailer your boat or keep it in a lift or dock but when coming into those places you don't want them to be over hanging off the side of your boat so they can't grab on to anything but if you figure out the clearance I would Mount them with a slight angle but that's just my preference everybody has there own preference..

Thanks Mike.  I was thinking the same thing as far as dock clearance.  I have a wide gunwale so I was going to mount them in a ways and with a slight turn forward I should be able to get them flush or just inside the outer edge of the boat.
