1st Striper

Hats off to Firechief48! He took me out on the Hudson today and managed to get me my first striper!

Tough day... Thunder delayed us, sat in the car and chatted, watched the radar... Hit the diner for breakfast, and when we got back to the lot, we loaded up and went out.

Not a lot of action but in the end, pulling lines, a hook up!

Firechief runs a solid program down here! So happy we got out! Hope to again soon!!!

Nice fish. Were you trolling or drifting Blood worms? What port were you fishing out of? We sometimes go out of Newbrg with Blood worms.

A beautiful striper there! My son and a buddy caught and released their first stripers of the season yesterday too. They towed the boat to CT and fished the Quinnipiac River and caught a ton of small ones, the biggest being just legal. Way to go luke and chief! I'd rather have that one nice one than the 40 schoolies they caught anytime!

Greenboatluke , that was a nice first fish . Firechief is a great fishermen . I fish with him on the river and lake o . I'm glad u had a good time fishing with him . Tight lines .
