Out drive shift cover

My out drive shift cover fell off was wondering if it was ok to run without it any help would appreciated

Volvo penta shift cover it is the top part there is a cover that the shift linkage is behind

If it's a Volvo or Later model OMC you will be ok, but replace it asap. Earlier Volvo covers are prone to loosening up if the lock tabs/bolts aren't tightened properly.

I had one fall off. Found one on eBay but used the boat till new one came. Never had an issue. I Volvo Volvo's though!
