After getting shut out fishing Chaumont for walleyes this morning I took my wife and her sister to a local lake for panfish. We had to do some searching but finally located a group of males and were able to come away with a decent catch of crappies and a few bluegills mixed in. The water temperature rose nearly 10 degrees since yesterday morning!post-144887-14630954539892_thumb.jpg

Kev...I, too tried for crappies today.  I don't know if it was bright sun or that its just starting, or both.  A good day, none the less.  10 keepers for dinner at my sister's this weekend.

Good going Kevin. I saw some of the guys  around here today and they weren't doing much on the crappies either and they didn't last long at the usual spots before they gave up
