Hey guys, I started fishing LO back in the 80s, and did good back then on shallow browns, lakers, spring cohoes, staging kings, and offshore steelhead back in the day.  Then got married, started a family, etc, and I am getting back to fishing LO 3-5 times a year as we keep out boat at Lake Erie most of the year.  17.5' Scout center console, riggers, planers, etc.  But recently have gotten in to fly fishing the big lake from shore and in the shallow areas with the boat, and have had some success on Lake Erie with steelhead and smallmouth, will be experimenting with articulated streamers this year.  The next time I get up to LO, I want to try deepwater jigging off the bottom for lakers with 1 oz shad jigs, I think that would be a blast if we can find them.  Hope you guys have a good year. - Bob
