The Niagara Bar is actually Lake Erie water that is nutrient rich and historically supported good walleye and even blue pike fishing. Most of the winning walleye contest winners come from the Bar.

We never used to start working the eyes down there until late July...and through August. Work the flats out in front of Fort Niagara. The area goes through a long stretch of heavy moss during June and part of July coming out of the lower river which makes fishing a real B until them.

Blue Pike? Historically speaking, correct? If we're talking about the same Blue Pike I understand they've been extinct for some time. My deceased grandfather told me he used to get them aplenty out of Ontario.
