Real nice way to start the day!  Good luck out there.

Zero bait but a lot of marks. The kings are skinny, the lakers are fat.

Skinny kings vs Fat lakers.   Feeding on  alewives vs Gobies ??

The skinny kings are most likely new arrivals from their deep winter haunts. They looked around and realized the bait has moved inshore. This is the time to cash in on hungry kings that have not seen a lure in months. Get out there!

Agree 100% with Gill-T. The boys in Canada on the south shore (around Dalhouisie) where the Kings usually show first are currently on a eating binge. A local contest in which guys weighed in their top 3 salmon over 3 days had daily winners of over 27lbs each day and the winner over the 3 days top 3 weighed 73lbs+!! They are HUNGRY and eating - go get em'

It is easy to drive over fish to find fish. There is a lot of bait already shallow in 30-50'.

Well bill, I'm sure when I go there Saturday they'll be east and when I go Sunday, they'll be west. Lol. The Lakers out of sandy this past weekend were full of gobies. Tiny gobies were in the ones on the bottom in 130'.

Not one of the 28 kings I caught this weekend was skinny. The only skinny fish I have caught all year was a spawned out steelie on Saturday

Me , Wayne , and my pal Seth went out for a trio trip . We went out of Sandy today as well with a slow but fairly steady pick . Ended up 6-7 with a real nice steel and and pretty nice laker in the mix. We went all over looking for change in temp . Went all the way out to 320 fow . Took a steel out there in the top 10 fow . Came back in and whacked another one in the top 10 at like 55 fow . Still seem to be in search mode just covering as much water as possible . Doesn't seem to be a depth that is the magic number yet . Started getting a little " nautical " so we came in around 1:15 .

Going out in the am, winds blowing pretty good right now, hope it lays down. See no reason not to hit that same area.
