Should be OK if the transducers are different frequencies.

Ah... probably the only way would be to  see if one or the other unit can use a transducer of  different frequency (e.g. 50khz instead of 200 or 83 etc.) if neither is dual frequency.

Tried doing the same on my boat with two Lowrance units even at two different frequencies and still had bad screens. Had to shut sonar function off on one and use it soley as a GPS.

I'm guessing they are not, the bird makes the lowrance go all loopy and give bad depth readings

Same thing happened on my boat. I ended up running one as a dedicated gps and the other for depth.

Possible to run 2 Lowrance at different frquencies and if you got interferences you lower the sensitivity and the ping speed.

With a Lowrance and a HB it's impossible because with the Humminbird even if you choose a frequency the unit continue to emit the other one in the background.
