No fleas yet (usually pop out when surface temp hits 70). Weeds depends on the amount of wind. No wind equals a medium/ bearable amount of weeds. Also no wind equals some debris/ wood to avoid.

I would think one of those clear wiggle fin disks in front of a barrel swivel set rod-length away from the lure, would catch or redirect weeds away from your bait.

Weeds on seneca have been bad, winter never really killed them off..
