where to fish

can anyone guide me to fish i've been up to lake ontario a few time and i usually fish around the wellington are but haven't had any luck can anyone give me a spot to catch some fish around that area i drive 2.5 hours to get there and have not had any luck so any info would be very appeciated

Wellington sounds like it is starting to heat up. Try around Scotch Bonnet and always talk to Chris at the Reel Thing tackle shop. He can usually tell you whats working and where the charter guys are hooking up.

My past experience is that Wellington is usually hot from the beginning of July until the 3rd or last week. Then it becomes quite spotty. The local fishing clubs have started stocking heavily in the area and this has undoubtably helped out. I usually fish out of Port Hope because it is a longer season and more predictable. However, it is very busy come the start of the Great Ontario Salmon Derby.
