hooking fly leaders to spin docs

dumb question;on the tail end of the spin doctor it comes with a ball bearing swivel with the snap end hooked on the spin doctor.How are some of you guys hooking your leader from the fly to the swivel?Are you adding a duo-loc snap or adding a split ring and snap swivel.I didn't want to add too much terminal stuff but don't want to cut my leader every time I change flies.

I add a heavy duty snap to every Spin Doctor and then make a loop in the end of the fly leader.

are you talking about a duo-loc snap that opens at both ends?

Yes. Make sure you buy a good brand and on that is strong enough for a flasher and fly rig. I use the 3/4" size.

or half hitch the fly to the spin doc

I use the opti corkscrews. Work well for me. Make a surgeoans loop in the fly leader at the length you want and twist it onto the cork screw. Works great.

just tie an overhand knot in your fly leader, push the loop through the swivel hole on the spin doctor, put the fly through the loop, and pull tight
