Strange laker

Don't normally post much but caught this laker on Cayuga and was wondering what people thought. Fish was only about 20" long but the body looked super sized compared to its tiny head. Pictures didn't turn out that great but the fish had a large football looking body, which isn't odd, but with such a small head and being real short body I have never caught one looking this way.

Cool fish I've had some like that. The fish in general on Cayuga have been fat and look good.

Makes sense, there a lot of bait out there. Just have never caught one with a forehead like this one

I caught a laker in lake Erie while fishing for walleyes that looked just like yours, small head and big football body,  nice catch

We got one like that too the other day!! Swam great too! Hit at 3.5 mph haha

Sometimes you get a few oddballs that survived in the hatchery. Most fish with genetic defects end up dying but a few end up surviving and get stocked.
