Crazy stomach contents!

That's pretty gross, that paw looks like it was cut off with a cleaver, someone did away with the neighbors pit bull, or any dog. On one "hand" LOL its interesting, on the other it's gross. I can't see how a human could do this. I'm a avid hunter but somethings don't ride so well with me. Yesterday I needed to put down 2 of my chickens, due to old age and female problems with 2 of my layers, I did it but I didn't like it!! Yes I eat a lot of chicken, but my daughters made sure they got a proper burial, they said they don't mind eating the eggs but no way are we eating Henny & Penny, they were from our first flock. They made sure they went in the ground and not the freezer!! A lot off track but still to the point how could someone chop up a dog and dump it overboard?? Sick!!!

Yeah, clean cut.  Definitely butchered.  Probably not a dog tho.  I would hafta hunt down the emeffer that would do that to a dog.  Still.  What the heck is it??

Some of these responses crack me up.

It's NOT a mink. Mink don't weigh 40 pounds.

It's NOT a fisher.

It's NOT a beaver. Nails are wrong and a beavers front foot only has four toes.

That said--it "might" be a raccoon. Notice I said MIGHT!

The most fascinating thing about all of this is WHY would a laker eat a foot---of anything???

Not possum, their front toes are spread out, I am staying with coon. Lakers are cannibals and will eat anything. As a kid working at the NJ boat docks I remember a shark being cut open to find a partial roll of felt roofing paper in its stomach. long time ago.....jk

Trapper throws body parts in the Genny. The paw tumbles down river currents out into the lake. During the spring a laker keying on brown gobys scooting along the bottom encounters a brown object waving around on the bottom. I should have made detective. Someone call that English dude with bad teeth on discovery channel's "River Monsters" to figure it out. He might catch all kinds of bodies in the Genny or Niagara flows

this is the most entertaining thread Ive read all month :)    last year I saw a post about someone cutting open a laker and pulled out about 18 plastic worms. That one must have been really hungry or really stupid

I hope it originated in the Lake Ontario designated bait corridor.  This is how we get those damn invasive species! Next thing you now those paws will be pushing the alewife's out of the lake and then doom!
