Never tried pulling a dipsey. With the mods found on bloodrun's website I know they will pull a 300 copper but not well. I am willing to bet that a offshore sst pro mag will pull a dipsey because they pull 500 copper very well.

I pull 400 copper with them without issue. Yes it may not go as far to the side as with mono or lighter lines, but it does work fine.

IMO..... Would seem to me that both the dipsy and the board are designed for the same purpose, mainly to get the bait off the side, and away from your prop wash and riggers. Don't see the need for both to be used together.

That's what I figured. Taking my sister was going to try to squeeze another rod in. I don't have a wire or leadcore setup yet.

Bought one of the tx44 in lines had a regular size dipsey with the ring 177 ft out on 0 ran great. Going to get another just so I can get the away from the boat.

Don't know never had a hit I don't think I did anyways. Owner hooks on my spoon so? If fell back and pulled close to the boat when I was netting a fish possibly had one on.

Church Tackle TX44 will pull a #1 dipsy with no problem and it will trip.

There is a video on YouTube on it, a guy was running 3 dipsys per side of boat. I tried it but got into trouble when outside fired getting Salmon in without tangling into other lines. I now just run riggers with 1 dipsys per side and a copper per side either off my otters or off a TX 44. Some days if conditions are right I'll run 2 dipsys per side, a mag on inside #2 setting and a #1 outside, longer rod with a 3 setting
