Went today and Tuesday in Irondequoit bay and got One bass. Fished the usual structure and old friendly spots. Are they going deep already? I thought they were late to the spawning beds this year. I did pretty well the last 3 weeks prior. Using wacky worm style, changing from purple to pearl jam color.

We got quite a few shallow Wednesday in the bay (wasn't super serious had my twin 9 year olds out)...... Not much size though....with the temps rising it would make sense they are moving out..... One of my boys managed his first northern thoughee62fc1366cfe59c4e37fb0a8e1c25b1.jpg

Last weekend around Little Sodus Bay they weren't hanging out very shallow like they were most weeks prior, even with the water temp staying consistent around 70-72 for the past few weeks. Didn't even get any around docks either...

Thanks Esox......fishing has been tough the last few years (they would heartbroken if I went out alone)...but now they are allot more self sufficient and we finally got a bow mount trolling motor...making things much easier. It's time to get serious!

Lots of smallies around here spawning.Had a nice one spawning by my dock earlier.Last year the bass tend to move deep now chasing bait.I think the crabs are few thanks to the goby.I caught qite a few over 60 ft last year some on copper while trout fishing. The state could get things going faster with some hatchery effort on smallies.
