Downrigger rod

What's everyone using for a downrigger rod medium or medium heavy action? Looking for a rod for kings.

I have some medium light 7' for spring Browns, salmon and walleye, and medium heavy 8'6" for summer and fall kings. Sometimes I throw the 7' rods out to make it "fun" but the medium heavy rods are really a better tool for the job

8'3" ugly sticks med lights, best rods I have ever used for riggers. I also have 7' uglys that I use if I'm stacking.

7'ugly stick light actions, crank the drag down and reel em in.

No heavier than Med. For riggers Downrigger rods are made to bend , med-heavy are way too stiff for downriggers period. med heavy for boards.
