Channels on ship to shore radio

Hello, I was just wondering what some good channels to know are. I have a nice radio on my boat but never know what channels are important to know and which ones I can communicate with people on the water are. Thanks for any help

Use the scan mode that will tell you where the most chatter is I know a lot use 68.
