not many fish yet-sat did nada , sunday 2 teenagers only marked 4 or 5 fish in 3 hrs , fish were 135' down or 145-oh well , maybe next week.

Marked a ton of bait in Mexico Bay area yesterday.

Never moved a rod.

0 for 3 Saturday morning. Notta release Sunday. I hope things pick up in that area.

fished from 190 to 350 fow on sat...nothing

 

moved into 140-150 on sunday 2 for 3 ....a 14 lb and 25 lb king

I have been fishing out of Mexico for 3 weeks ( ends ) .

We mark schools of bait from 80-100 fow every time . Only catch in that range was a 6.5# brown .

When we move outside there we see hooks or what seem to be lake trout on the bottom but no bait balls .

Sophomore year full time and still struggling to put a solid reliable program together .

No matter the catching , it's always a fun time

temp is deep....kings are hugging the bottom.....hooks could be lakers but might be kings.....fish the marks screw the bait and temp

 

change colors and presentation often to see what they want that day

I noticed that too, I had good temp 60 down Saturday but my screamers I lost came much below that. I put the riggers where I was getting the very few marks I got.

Saw beaucoup' marks pasted to the bottom.

Suspected lake trout.....I'll take bottom-feeders advice this weekend.....

In the good years this seems to be about the time the Kings show up and stay.

Should only get better from here out.

I sure hope so. I launch out of Mexico and would like to stay in the area and not have to worry about making a run East or West.
